In NOVEMBER, Gallery 9 will feature four artists exploring the concept of functionality in art. This exhibit will feature “functional” art from jewelry to tableware to wall hung decor.
Featured artists include:
Jeani Gustafson uses a hand building process with porcelain clay. Her work features textured surfaces in neutral colors with pops of bright color.
Pam Young’s ceramic work is wheel thrown incorporating a decorative carving process called sgraffito. Many of her pieces depict animal shapes.
Willie Sapp’s wheel thrown stoneware features symmetrical, spherical forms with crackled textures and raku fired finishes.
Rose Kotwas will be showing her sterling silver fabricated and fused jewelry pieces embellished with natural stone.
