Meghan Stratman graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2004 with a BFA in Studio Art with a graphic design emphasis and a minor in film studies. She works almost exclusively in cut paper collage. Her work can be seen locally at Gallery 9, The Lux Center for The Arts, and Indigo Bridge Bookstore, and has shown nationally in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York.
Meghan draws much of her inspiration from pop culture, particularly films, video games, books, music, and comics. While many of her characters are often cute, there is also a darker streak that stems from her love of horror and science fiction. Major artistic influences include: Tara McPherson, Audrey Kawasaki, Wes Anderson, Scott Campbell and Luke Chueh.
